Somewhere on the coast in the distance from the town live and work crew working on the road - a few families. Heavy and senselessness of their work - the way they constantly repaired, does not lead anywhere, and no one needs.

Monotony of life violates settled beside the tent a couple traveling by car. They are people of a different social layer, a different culture. Their relationship, lifestyle attract movie character - twelve Yuri. The boy approaches the newcomers. This leads to a serious conflict with parents and makes think about my life.

The film is really a sort of "memory", "sleep" - all the artistic means of expression to work on something to show us the whole story through their perception of the 12-year-old boy. When you first view it was very difficult to catch the idea, it seemed to many incomprehensible, illogical. But then it became clear that this picture can not watch as it "head" it is important to immerse yourself in the material and treat it as any kind of developing the story, but as a stream of memories, a stream of thoughts, matured boy Jyrki sometimes confused with one another, which is not as bright as they were once. And all the light and sound play, I think it was on such coverage.

Director's work is pretty interesting, and unique, as already mentioned, was a task to tell us a linear story with a beginning, middle and end, the decision of the director to show us the means of man's inner world of film language, in this case a 12-year-old boy, and that's why the director (and sound) to use a symbol, in the representation of types of people of different social status, cultural level, various conventions, and in some aspects, overdone.

It is impossible not to note the work and the sound: first, it seemed that the sound is trying to dominate the picture, and sometimes even go in contrast with it, because the sound is very tight, and plays in the film is not a supporting role, as one of the top: a lot of sounds, noises, votes, difficult for the "music". However, if you try to understand the director's plan - everything will fall into place - the music will go down in tandem with the image and perepletetsya into a single visual-sound experience, very dense in its texture.

Overall, the movie seemed to me, is too heavy for the unprepared viewer, but if you find the right approach to it, to understand that we are trying to convey to the director and to take that little convention, which takes place on the screen, we see a good, smart movie, with a bright director's idea and expressed a very interesting attempt to transfer visual or audio screen concept words like "dream", "sleep", "thought", "memory".

    But the boy had no money to leave ... he wanders, fast few days, but really do not want to go back home ... climbs to a high abandoned building ... often urinates in a corner in fear ... it is clear that the boy wants to fold down ... and that's He decides running away ... and at the bottom there is a person and understand what is happening and asks, "Hey, what's it doing there?"

    Boy rather die than return home. Good man, decides to help the boy to leave.

    "I would just take the jacket out of the house" - the boy returns home for a jacket, but there are bumps on it ... totally blind father, "artist" ... the boy is at home!

    A boy walks on stilts, follows the movements of the deceased stranger begins to live, unknown to his family, a new life

    The film ends with shots of unfinished road to nowhere ... and boy walking on stilts.

    The film is deeply symbolic. Actors live in frames, and do not play. Each scene is imbued with meaning.

    Schnittke's music creates a very sensual atmosphere of an event.

    This is not an entertaining movie, but the story of our life!
