  1. Adventurer Count helps bankrupt become king of Paris by cheating. Featured briefly in 1917, the film 90 years in the form of a single copy of lay in the archives. Lost titles were restored in 2008.

The film shows the manners of high society, steeped in iniquity, and in their background fraudster seems almost Robin Hood. He, unlike the secular bourgeois, has certain advantages, in contrast to the soulless world.

Scenes filmed in the living room is great. Due to slightly speed up motion, common to all silent films, directed to the point that the bourgeoisie appear blank and their lives miserable.

The film is the latest work of Bauer, the director died before the shooting. Finished picture Olga Rakhmanov, and according to other sources, Lev Kuleshov in December 1917

Titles in 2008 restored version is not perfect, they are too bright compared to the film, and writing captions simply disgusting. But this does not spoil the overall impression of the film.
