The former "Afghans" - a major and a captain, who refused to support the coup, have decided to stay in the forest and did not return to Leningrad. They had to survive by relying on their own strength and ingenuity: the Roma entertain foreigners, participated in the filming dushmanskih movies, started trading balloons Mayor ... even tried to become a broker. Having met a wonderful girl, both fighters fell in love with her, and to earn money for his beloved decided to participate in a beauty contest. But not so easy to pick up win cash prizes without the racketeers.

Review

Great! Says Roger Ibert: "Two thumbs up!"
Of all the film is based on the scenario A. Yining, this film, I think his best work. Although to me, of course, disagree adorers "Once 20 years" or "Offered for Singles."
However, all very cheerfully, funny and touching, sometimes to tears. At the junction of the two eras, probably already on the third attempt (after the "Operation Cooperation" and "Deribasovskaya") Yining, finally came up with a miracle that the history of how people had to shift to the new circumstances of the time and go after all the troubles have not lost their own dignity .
In general, if you see where (and this is very difficult), be sure to see and admire!
