In ancient times UHF channels happened to me to see a "masterpiece" of the domestic thriller called "Rex-1:" thirty destroyed. " Discussed in this extraordinary creation of cinema, created by the writer-detektivschika Viktor Dotsenko, known for the series "Mad" tells itself about this very "wild" (Igor Livanov) - a former Special Forces soldier nicknamed Rex (their comrades, Mukhtar and Barbosa, he apparently lost in Afghanistan). Returning from the war, he falls into the clutches of an underground criminal organization and along with his brother (played by brother Aristarchus Livanov) decides to run.

Naturally, as it should be in any self-respecting action movie, this is an insidious villain in the person of Stanislaus Sadalsky who gathered a group of mercenaries sets out after deserters ...

Admittedly, a dozen years ago, the film struck me as just an ideal, it was just above the other classic representative of perestroika thriller - "Ameriken Fight." But it was necessary such as singing Alla, it happens that the "30 th destroy" accidentally caught my eye just a couple of weeks ago.

The action takes place during the Anglo-Boer War, and tied to the Treasure of Portuguese pirates. Movie has a lot of action, and traced a clear influence of foreign westerns. Some scenes are clearly refer to the famous film of the genre.

The main characters and the romantic line between several palely. But very successful colorful images of bandits, especially the ringleader, played by Alexander Inshakov. In 1925, the famous American writer William Faulkner wrote the short story "The Leg." In this work, it was a young student at Oxford Devi, who was to take part in the First World War and lost a leg in battle. Surreal story describes the struggle with all the evil Davy, which arose in him during the war and took on a ghostly form.

In 1991, a young film director Nikita Tyagunov decides to withdraw his debut as a screen version of this story. Write the script, he asked a familiar playwright Kozhushanova Nadezhda, who decided that the plot of the story is easy to transfer to modern realities. Since Devi was Valery Martynov, and turned into the First World War in Afghanistan.
