Once seen on television movie Valery Akhadova initially perceived as a "burning tears of melodrama" (not a coincidence that in 1994 Ahadov arranged in Magnitogorsk, which was working in the theater, a special film festival more noble name "Crystal Tears"). But here's an unconventional ending with voluntary death of the heroine, which still could not meet even rash promise to his beloved die, made quite a different look at the tape.


Valery Ahadov works pretty smoothly - successful pictures ("Who is going to Truskavets?", "Family Secrets"), and not very successful ("Ruth") alternate with all checkpoints, random, supposedly removed forcibly. And in the film "I promised, I'll go ..." to detect signs of unpretentious, negligence, haste, though hectic period "mnogokartinya" that occurred in the late 90's, it seems to not only set out clearly and intelligibly, but also as Development of the more stylistically justifiable and artistic interpretation.

It is impossible not to note the work and the sound: first, it seemed that the sound is trying to dominate the picture, and sometimes even go in contrast with it, because the sound is very tight, and plays in the film is not a supporting role, as one of the top: a lot of sounds, noises, votes, difficult for the "music". However, if you try to understand the director's plan - everything will fall into place - the music will go down in tandem with the image and perepletetsya into a single visual-sound experience, very dense in its texture.

Overall, the movie seemed to me, is too heavy for the unprepared viewer, but if you find the right approach to it, to understand that we are trying to convey to the director and to take that little convention, which takes place on the screen, we see a good, smart movie, with a bright director's idea and expressed a very interesting attempt to transfer visual or audio screen concept words like "dream", "sleep", "thought", "memory".
